General Anesthesia at Dillon Family Dental

General Anesthesia

General anesthesia is the deepest level of sedation, allowing patients to sleep through their procedure while our team provides necessary dental care. Typically administered intravenously (IV), it ensures a pain-free, stress-free experience for those who need extensive treatment or have difficulty undergoing dental procedures.

When Is General Anesthesia Recommended?

We may suggest general anesthesia for:

  • Severe dental anxiety or phobia
  • Patients who cannot remain still during treatment
  • Complex or lengthy procedures requiring multiple treatments in one visit
  • Individuals with special needs or conditions that make routine care challenging

While under general anesthesia, your vital signs are closely monitored to ensure your safety. Our team will provide detailed pre- and post-care instructions regarding eating, drinking, and recovery to help make the process as smooth as possible.

To find out if general anesthesia is the right option for you or your child, contact Dillon Family Dental to schedule a consultation with Dr. Spencer Hughes, Dr. Justin Rhodes, or Dr. Eli Oliverson.
